Smoking Cessation Program

Quit Smoking
The Smoking Cessation Program provides a systematic approach to assisting patients when they are ready to quit smoking.

As part of routine patient care, nurses may ask about your tobacco use and your readiness to quit. The Delhi Family Health Team nurses and pharmacist have been trained in identifying the ways in which your health care team and other agencies can assist you with your “quit” goal.

If you are a tobacco user and are ready to quit, ask your health care provider how they might assist you.

Our smoking cessation program offers counseling support and Nicotine Replacement Therapy* (patch, gum, inhaler, lozenge) at no cost to patients who want to quit smoking through the STOP Program and Ottawa Model.

*not all types of NRT may be available at all times.
